Recap: Broad Run Spartans vs. Park View Patriots
The Broad Run Spartans won the last time they faced the Park View Patriots, and things went their way on Monday too. Broad Run took their game at home with ease, bagging a 78-48 win over Park View. Given Broad Run's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Park View is ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Park View still got an impressive performance from Messiah Dixon, who scored 25 points. Dixon is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Noah Calalang was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Broad Run's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Park View, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11.
Broad Run will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Stone Bridge at 7:15 p.m. As for Park View, they will face off against Loudoun County at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Loudoun County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
