Softball Recap: Foresthill Wildfires vs. Faith Christian Lions

Foresthill had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Faith Christian Lions with a sharp 17-7 victory on Tuesday. Foresthill might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Summer Stephens was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Stephens has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 13 consecutive pitching appearances. Stephens was also big at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a home run, three stolen bases, and four runs.

In other batting news, Cordelia Hammer and Caillin Noe did most of the damage at the plate: Hammer scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Noe went 3-for-4 with four RBI, a run, and a double. Another player making a difference was Brianna Miller, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
