Downey has not won a game since December 2, 2023, a trend which continued on Friday. They fell just short of Turlock by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Downey of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Downey has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6-2 record this season. As for Turlock, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-4.
