The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency operates the Maryland Lottery and provides oversight of the state’s six casinos and other ancillary gaming programs. The Agency operates with more than 300 employees and a number of vendor partners in two business lines:

 

Lottery

Lottery employees and vendors operate and oversee the full range of the Lottery’s functional departments, including marketing, product development, sales, retail network, finance and accounting, systems and information technology, human resources, security, drawings, prize payments, operations, legal, government affairs and public relations.

Casino Gaming

Casino Gaming staff oversee Maryland’s six casinos and other ancillary gaming programs. Gaming employees ensure that the casinos are in compliance with State laws and regulations. Additionally, they monitor, audit and report casino gaming revenues and conduct background investigations required for the licensing of casino operators, employees and vendors.
