Pete Wicks has shared a hilarious story about how he "nearly died" when his mate Sam Thompson got a bit too excited on the famous I'm A Celebrity rope bridge.
Pete was waiting for Sam at the end of the bridge, as Sam's girlfriend Zara McDermott was back in the UK due to her Strictly Come Dancing commitments. Despite being told not to jump on the unstable bridge, Sam couldn't resist, according to Pete.
On their Staying Relevant podcast, Pete recalled: "Yeah, what the funniest part of that is before you get a producer who will have said to Sam on the other end of the bridge, Sam would have been told to stand on a star and Pete is going to come and meet you.
Do not JUMP." He also remembered a conversation with a show producer who assured him that Sam had promised not to jump. But Sam did jump, leading to a precarious moment where Pete was supporting both their weights on the bridge.
Pete laughed about a precarious moment where he nearly tumbled off a bridge during a hug, joking: "They say you can have your hug but you need to turn around so we can get a shot of both of your faces on the bridge. But at that point, I lost my balance. I had to grab the f***ing bridge to stop us going over, I nearly died!"
He also tackled chat about his romantic life while in Australia. Pete was spotted being cosy with EastEnders star Danielle Harold and enjoying an evening with Nick Pickard's girlfriend Sarah Corrin. On his podcast, Pete insisted there was no romance.
Pete shared with listeners: "Just on my experience for the whole f***ing thing, we'll go into that another time properly. I just want to point out that I didn't sh** anyone's wife."
His mate Sam chipped in: "Pete got linked to every single person out there. He got linked to Sarah - Nick's [Pickard] girlfriend, he got linked to Danielle [Harold], he got linked to my girlfriend Zara [McDermott], he got linked to Rochelle [Humes] at one point.
"I don't think there were any more women out there to get linked to."
