The latest installment of the Bridget Jones movie franchise is being filmed at a school that was falsely accused of running a satanic paedophile ring.

Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy is currently being filmed across London as Renee Zellweger has been seen reprising her iconic character. It is the fourth installment of the hit film series and sees Hugh Grant also make a return as Daniel Cleaver. Filming for the new movie was thrown into chaos earlier this week after a major star suffered a nasty injury.

It has been reported filming has delayed, with a source claiming it has been a "total disaster". However, the action continued as the crew were seen filming on location at a school in north London. They were spotted at Christ Church Primary in Hampstead - a school that was falsely accused of running a satanic paedophile ring.

The fourth film will see Renee Zellweger's Bridget grappling with widowhood and single motherhood after Mark Darcy's (Colin Firth) demise. Bridget is now a mum to two young children - Billy and Mabel. She enrolls them into their local primary school, which is given a fictional name in the movie.

It is unclear if producers were aware of the school's past as it was recently the subject of a Channel 4 documentary. Accused: The Hampstead Paedophile Hoax told how the neighbourhood became shook by false allegations in 2014. Two pupils at the school had alleged a Satan-worshipping paedophile ring of about, "175 parents, teachers and religious leaders" had been abusing children in the area.

Police found no evidence of such allegations. However, the alleged abusers were subjected to harassment, death threats and online abuse. It was later reported that the two children, who were siblings, had made up the allegations after they were threatened and abused into doing so by their mother.

The Bridget Jones cast have been spotted in recent weeks filming the new movie across London. In images exclusively obtained by the Mirror, Renee shot the film's first school run scenes as she was seen walking her on-screen daughter Mabel and son Billy in their uniform. She cut a casual figure in a dressy get-up, covering her clothing in a cream-quilted coat.

Other actors in the frame included one of her upcoming love interests, Mr Walker, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor – also pictured on the capital city production set was actress Leila Farzad. Bridget was recently pictured stuck up a tree, while a young park attendant rushed to rescue her in other movie scenes.

Her other love interest is One Day star Leo Woodall, who plays Rockstar - Bridget's new toyboy in the new upcoming film. In scenes reminiscent of the infamous fireman's pole incident, the new film sees her scale a tree while trying to reach a stranded child in Hampstead Heath.
