Eagle-eyed fans have uncovered a decade-old link between Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter.
The 31-year-old Saltburn star was first linked to the 25-year-old pop it-girl back in December, and the duo went public with their romance in February when they attended W Magazine’s Grammys after-party together. Last month, the duo hard-launched their relationship when Barry appeared in the music video of Sabrina’s latest hit, ‘Please Please Please’.
However, the couple’s hardcore fans reckon their relationship dates back decades further. After taking a deep dive into Barry’s X - formerly known as Twitter - account, online sleuths have spotted sweet connections between the duo before they ever even met.
Over on X, one fan account posted two tweets from Barry - who has recently been announced to play Ringo Starr in Sam Mendes’ upcoming Beatles biopic - which bear an uncanny resemblance to his beau’s latest hit singles, ‘Espresso’ and ‘Please Please Please’.
Back in 2014, a baby-faced Barry posed next to an espresso cup. Accompanying the candid snap, the actor wrote: "This time last year I told you I would that I would be an Espresso Addict."
The year before, the Dunkirk star tweeted: "Can someone please please please lend me the Sopranos.” Fans are refusing to believe the tweets are a coincidence, with some convinced Barry “manifested” his chart-topper girlfriend, and others reckoning Sabrina - who has previously dated the likes of Joshua Basset and Shawn Mendes - looked through her beau’s old tweets for musical inspiration.
"I refuse to believe that this was a coincidence,” one fan wrote on X, while another added: “He manifested her omg”.
Others seemed pretty sure they had just outed Sabrina for stalking her boyfriend’s social media. One wrote: "Oh she did her RESEARCH research," while another agreed: “omggg did she just stalk his twt acc? she so like me fr.”
A third chimed in: “So that's where the inspiration came from, i see you sabrina,” while a fourth person joked: “Quick stalk his account so we can find out the name of the next single.”
Sabrina and Barry's relationship has gone from strength to strength since they were first linked together at the end of last year. The duo were photographed partying alongside it-couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Coachella back in April and made their Met Gala debut in May.
