Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan has shared the thrilling news that she's expecting her second child.
The actress, 32, actress, best known for her role as Toni Topaz in Riverdale, unveiled on 6 July that her family is set to expand this month after keeping her pregnancy a secret for nine months.
In an Instagram post, Vanessa flaunted her growing baby bump alongside her boyfriend James Karnik and penned: "So in love with this man, our family of 4 coming this month. Number 2 Surprise! Thank you GOD."
This will be Vanessa's second child, but her first with boyfriend James. She already shares her three year old son, River, with her ex Michael Kopech. In the heartwarming photos announcing their news, Vanessa showcased her bump while posing with her 6'9" Canadian basketball player beau, who was seen lifting her up with one arm, while tenderly placing his other hand on her stomach.
Other snaps from their shoot showed the blissful couple walking hand in hand as Vanessa cradled her bump, and another captured them sharing a kiss as they lay on the grass. Vanessa looked stunning in a casual cream jumper and jeans, her long brunette hair flowing in waves. She also chose a green cut-out dress and a cream summer dress for the sentimental photoshoot.
The basketball player also took to Instagram to share their news and seemingly revealed the baby's gender as he wrote: "Holdin BOTH my girls at the same time. "The Riverdale actress was showered with affection and well-wishes from her fellow cast members, including Madelaine Petsch who commented: "the way he lifts you with one arm.
"Co-star Madchen Amick chimed in with: "Awwwwww love thisssss," while actress Madison Pettis added: "Omg congratulations." And Fans didn't hold back their excitement either, as one posted: "River gonna be a big brother so adorable, congratulations." Another fan couldn't contain their joy, exclaiming: "OMG CONGRATULATIONS VANESSA!
Meanwhile, a third shared their happiness as they wrote: "Omg im so happy for you guys. "Someone else reminisced: "Omg, it feels like just yesterday you were pregnant with the first."
And another follower praised: "You're an amazing mother and that baby is already lucky to have you as her mother. "Vanessa has had her work cut out trying to keep her pregnancy hush-hush over the last nine months, but she let the cat out of the bag at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards in January.
Taking to Instagram at the time, Vanessa posted a stunning picture of herself in a strapless red Zuhair Murad gown complete with a lace train and captioned it: "Was 3 months pregnant here, almost couldn't zip this dress up."
