A former child star looked unrecognisable as he made a rare appearance while heading out for lunch in Sherman Oaks.

Former star Angus T Jones was spotted taking a stroll in the sunshine years after calling quits on his acting career, which began on the huge hit Two and a Half Man alongside Charlie Sheen. Angus, now 29, stepped out wearing a grey baggy hoodie and loose black shorts. He finished the look with a pair of tinted glasses and grey beanie hat while sporting a bushy beard. He was also carrying a large water bottle and texting holding a flip phone.

The actor was best known for his role as Jake Harper in the popular sitcom in the early noughties. He played the role for almost a decade from the age of 10. He went on to win two coveted awards for his comical role in the CBS series.

A shocking exit then followed in 2012. He was said to have been earning around $350,000 each episode before calling time on his career in the spotlight. He once declared he had been a “paid hypocrite” following his departure, but surprisingly to make a cameo in the final series, which aired in February 2015.

Angus once told the Forerunner Chronicles, a Christian group, in a 2012 video, that people should "stop watching" his show" because it was "filling your head with filth”. "Jake from Two and a Half Men means nothing,” he stressed in the video, written about in the Hollywood Reporter.

“He is a non-existent character. If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth."

In the rant, he continued: "People say it's just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you'll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch."

His last acting role credit came in 2016 when he worked on TV show Horace and Pete.
