The band released their first album, Queen, in 197, which attracted critical acclaim but initially failed to sell.
Queen's first hit single, Killer Queen, reached number two in the UK and topped the Billboard 100 chart in the US.
Huge success followed and Bohemian Rhapsody is still the third best selling single of all time.
Queen's appearance at Live Aid in 1985 is considered one of the best live performances ever and the band still tour today, despite Freddie Mercury's death in 1991.
