Ryder found fame as the lead singer of Happy Mondays, one of the leading bands in the Madchester scene of the 1980s and early 1990s.
He later founded Black Grape with Happy Mondays dancer, Bez, and has appeared on I'm A Celebrity as well as Gogglebox.
Ryder has six children.
