Airbnb to pay £150 of customers' outfits when they rent in ten wedding hotspots

Wedding guests can get free outfit rental when staying in an Airbnb property, in any of the top 10 wedding locations across the world.

Airbnb has partnered up with fashion rental app By Rotation to offer wedding guests complimentary outfit rentals for those who’ve booked an Airbnb in a top wedding destination around the world.

New Airbnb research has revealed that 83% of Brits will attend at least one wedding this year, with 31% attending four or more. With many guests (59%) noticing a rise in weddings abroad, costs for accommodation, flights and then wedding prep can quickly build up.

To help wedding attendees out, Airbnb guests who stay in top wedding destinations will receive complementary outfit rentals, if they stay in one of the top 10 destinations to get married.

The locations are England, Northern Ireland and Ireland, Wales, Scotland, North America, Italy, France, Spain, Caribbean and Greece (including the islands).

According to Airbnb, the average wedding guest spends £661 per wedding. So, to help with these costs Airbnb will give customers a £100 voucher for their next stay, in addition to the £150 credit for their wedding outfit rental.

Guests will need to book any Airbnb in one of the top 10 most common wedding guest locations around the world for a wedding you’re attending in the future.

After this, they can head to Airbnb's website to apply for your free By Rotation rental and an Airbnb coupon. Once individuals receive their vouchers, they will be able to use it on the By Rotation app and website.

When attending a wedding, more than half (53%) of guests prefer to stay with a group to split accommodation costs. Earlier this year, Airbnb rolled out a number of new features that make coordinating a group trip on Airbnb even easier, from shared wishlists to illustrated trip invitations.
