Kelly Brook admitted that her relationship with Jeremy Parisi was being put to the test in Celebrity Race Across the World.

The pair, who began dating in 2015 and tied the knot after seven years of romance, rose to the challenge of making their way to the Andes, Frutillar in Southern Chile in the BBC One programme, going head-to-head against three other duos.

Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy, actor Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen, BBC Radio 2 host Scott Mills and his then-fiancé Sam all agreed to embark on the journey themselves, beginning their travels in Belém, Northern Brazil.

While they experienced some mishaps in the early stages of their journey, tensions between Jeremy Parisi and Kelly Brook reached a new level during this Wednesday's 9 August 21, 2024) instalment of the popular show as the star grew increasingly frustrated with her beau.

After using some of their budget for an expensive taxi ride, Kelly was stranded with the judo champion miles away from the second checkpoint and were unable to get their hands on any Brazilian Reals, the local currency. The pair were left to their own devices in the middle of the night, bumping into Scott Mills and his now-husband Sam, who managed to get help from two church members, who contacted an American friend as backup.

Hours later, Kelly and Jeremy walked through Recife in the scorching sun, and they missed one bus after another, leading Kelly to lose some of her temper. "I'm not convinced we're going to catch the bus at 9", a sceptical Kelly said ahead of the heated exchange. "It's more realistic that we go on the 11."

The model and actress then added: "Ideally, we wanted to get the first bus out at 9 o'clock to drive down to the coast (...) but we have to get money to be able to continue our race." Moments later, her frustration got the better of her: "Oh my God, that one terrible decision. You grabbed that taxi and then we were stuck. If we're moving at that pace, we're going to keep making those mistakes."

A nervous Jeremy tried to de-escalate the situation by reminding her: "We're on the same side, babe." To which she fumed: "I know we're on the same side! But the fact is, we were so desperate to race and get on the road we're now walking around a city we don't know trying to find a bank."

Luckily, things returned to normal but, after a four-hour walk and a change of currency, Kelly admitted in front of the cameras that their relationship had been put to the challenge.

"It's 11.19 and we've missed two buses so we're going to try to get on the one o'clock and we have tog et down there now because, honestly, I am completely broken", she sighed in relief. "We are literally exhausted. Jeremy and I never argue, ever, and we are being really tested on this."
