Carol Vorderman's love life got a mention on This Morning today thanks to cheeky host Dermot O'Leary.

Celebrity Gogglebox star Carol, 62, is a regular contributor on This Morning but, even though she was absent from today's show, Dermot couldn't resist making a cheeky jibe at her love life during a viewer phone-in.

Dermot and Alison Hammond were joined by astrologer Hagan Fox who had urged viewers to get in touch with their questions about their future as predicted in the stars.

Sara called in and asked: "What direction should I take in my love life?" Before revealing an unusual fact about her relationship status.

"I'm in a bit of a love square...," she revealed as Alison interrupted: "Did you say love square?"

The viewer and Dermot burst into giggles before she clarified her relationship dilemma.

Alison asked: "So theres three other partners?" To which the viewer confirmed there were.

"Wow. Interesting," Alison quipped as Dermot cheekily added: "You wouldn't be Carol Vorderman, would you?"

The former Countdown star previously opened up on her unusual love life earlier this year in an interview with Michelle Visage on her Rule Breakers podcast.

The This Morning star revealed she was single but had several "special friends".

When asked if she was in a relationship, Carol replied: "No! I'm having the best time. I've spoken about this once. I have a system which I've had for ten years. They're called 'special friends'.

"I spoke a couple of months ago about having 'special friends' and it was like, again, the world had fallen in for some people but actually what I found was there was an awful lot of women who said, 'I'd never thought about it like this.'"

Carol told Michelle she has been dating one of her "special friends" for 11 years and one for seven years as she explained she's "not into one-night stands".

"The language around a woman of my generation is that if you had more than one partner when you got married you were this you were that," she added,

"Everything was derogatory about a woman, that was the environment I was growing up in. It was like 'she's desperate', everything was judgmental."
