The Red Wings have signed goaltender Jack Campbell to a one-year contract for $775,000, and he’ll apparently back-up Sebastian Cossa with the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Detroit earlier in the day inked Cam Talbot to team with Ville Husso and Alex Lyon.

Campbell, 32, was bought out of the final three years of his contract with Edmonton (the Oilers are paying him $1.5 million in each of the next six seasons).

The Port Huron native had a strong run in Toronto, which he parlayed into a five-year, $25 million pact with the Oilers in 2022.

He has struggled in two seasons with Edmonton and spent most of last season with AHL Bakersfield, going 18-13-1, with a 2.63 goals-against average and .918 save percentage. He went 1-4-0 with the Oilers (4.50 GAA, .873 save percentage).
