Emmanuel Mudiay, a Top 10 guard in the class of 2014, may take in Thursday’s Arizona-UCLA game along with his Prime Prep teammates.
Prime Prep coach Ray Forsett said today he may take his entire team to McKale Center after it arrives in Phoenix on Thursday to prepare for a Friday night game against Westwind Prep.
Prime Prep, the Dallas-based charter school established by Deion Sanders, withdrew from Texas’ University Interscholastic League after several players including Mudiay were declared ineligible after following Forsett from Arlington’s Grace Prep after last season. But they are 19-0 while playing a national schedule and Forsett said Mudiay has been a key as a combo guard.

“He’s been really good for us,” Forsett said. “We use him anyway we have to.”
Forsett said Mudiay remains open in his recruitment but that Sean Miller and UA have been doing “a good job” in recruiting him.
Earlier this month, Mudiay told the Lexington (Ky.) Herald-Leader that faith has helped him get through tough times.

Thursday’s game will be Arizona’s ninth appearance on the ESPN family of channels this season, and Miller said the Pac-12’s new media rights deal has already made a big difference.
“You’re no longer sitting there wondering who’s winning the Pac-12,” Miller said. “You’re seeing each week updates because of that national television network. … They talk about our conference more, they’re more familiar with what’s happening, the good players and the teams.
Tonight is “another great opportunity for us to show the quality of our conference and, being selfish, how special it is to play at Arizona, what the crowd’s like and what a game feels like. Hopefully, we can back that up.”
