Avery Johnson said Friday that recalling rookie Jordan Williams from the D-League was "something we've discussed." No wonder. The Nets dressed 10 players against the Cavaliers and although Shelden Williams played well, he's troubled by a sore wrist. Bringing Williams back would seem simple. He's only 150 miles away.
He said all the right things to a reporter for the Torrington (CT) Register-Citizen, his local paper, this week. "I’m just trying to work hard, listen to the coaches, and do whatever I can to work my way back up," Williams said. He's played in five games so far and is scheduled to play again Saturday night. He's averaging 12.6 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 34 minutes with the Armor.
