The Long Island Nets topped the Delaware 87ers, 119-110, on Friday night at the Nassau Coliseum. It was the Nets fourth straight win and the latest in wins dominated by Long Island’s backcourt.

Isaiah Whitehead, who is on assignment with Long Island, and two-way guard Milton Doyle led the way for the Nets with a game-high-tying 25 points each. Whitehead also picked up five assists and three steals in 28 minutes, while Doyle notched three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes.

Akil Mitchell (19 points), Kamari Murphy (12 points), James Webb III (11 points) and Jeremy Senglin (10 points) also scored in double figures for the home team, while Tahjere McCall tied a franchise record with six steals in 30 minutes off the bench.

Webb was 3-of-8 from deep. The Nets other two-way contract is now shooting 11-of-24 —45.8 percent— over the last three games.

For the 87ers, forward Christian Wood had a team-high 24 points with six rebounds, two assists and five blocks in 39 minutes while center Shawn Long (22 points, 10 rebounds) and forward Emeka Okafor (12 points, 18 rebounds) registered double-doubles. The veteran player, hoping for a comeback, is a cousin of the Nets Jahlil Okafor.

Long Island traded the lead with Delaware a few times early in the contest and only led by one at halftime before pulling away in the second half. The Nets led by as many as 14 points in the fourth quarter before winning by nine to secure Long Island’s fourth straight win. The Nets four-game win streak ties their longest win streak in franchise history, previously accomplished on 11/25 – 12/3 this season.
