Popular airshow at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to return in 2018

The wildly-popular Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst's air show, dubbed Power in the Pines, will return in 2018 featuring military aircraft and skydiving demonstrations.

The joint base, a sprawling facility in Burlington and Ocean counties, announced on its Facebook page that the the two-day show and open house will be on May 5 and 6.

The event will include the Air Combat Command F-22 Demonstration Team, the Canadian Forces CF18 Demo Team and the U.S. Army Golden Knights, an elite parachute team.

The F-22 Demonstration Team is known for its high-speed aerial maneuvers in one of the military's most elite aircraft.

On its Facebook page, the joint base wrote: "Mark your calendars for 5-6 May because #PowerinthePines2k18 is on!"

The two-day event typically draws hundreds of thousands of spectators.
