Six Flags Great Adventure plans to hire 4,000 workers this year

Six Flags Great Adventure is preparing for its annual spree as it prepares to bring on about 4,000 seasonal workers.

The positions will run from March to December and include everything from ride operations to landscaping to performers for shows, Six Flags said in a statement.

Six Flags will hold several hiring events.

  • A re-hire opportunity on Feb. 1 from noon to 6 p.m.
  • Entertainment auditions - Feb. 3 and 17 beginning at 1 p.m.
  • Job fairs - Feb. 10, March 11 and May 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Candidates can also apply at the park's employment center beginning Feb. 1. The hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday thorough Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The park aims to place applicants in a position that matched their areas of interest.

"Those looking for a future in law enforcement can begin here in security or loss prevention; students exploring business have a wide variety of choices from marketing to finance and retail," a Six Flags official said in a statement. "We even offer very specialized positions for those studying animal behavior or zoology, culinary arts, theater and more."

In addition to students, teachers, retirees and people looking to supplement their income are encouraged to apply.

Before attending any spring hiring event, new applicants must visit www.sixflagsjobs.com to complete an online application. Rehires must complete their online rehire packet.

Six Flags also hired 4,000 people both last year and in 2016.
