A New Jersey burger joint featuring one of the state’s best burgers is planning to open a food truck.

Steve’s Burgers recently took to Instagram to announce the company’s newest endeavor — Steve’z on Wheelz.

Owner Stephen Chrisomalis partnered with baker Zilpa Rizzo of Zilpa’s Desserts in Garfield for the launch of Steve’z on Wheelz.

”Start spreading the NEWZ… it is with great pleasure and honor to announce my newest business venture Stevez on Wheelz,” the Instagram post read. “I have teamed up with my good friend and fellow entrepreneur Zilpa Rizzo of @zilpasdesserts to make this food truck a reality.”

Stevez on Wheels will begin booking events in October. An exact start date and location for the truck has yet to be announced.

The food truck will feature a smaller menu than the company’s three brick-and-mortar locations.

The menu will feature a burger exclusive to the truck, fries, hot dogs, sandwiches and cheesecake empanadas. The truck’s exclusive burger — donning a gold leaf bun — will include of a 6-ounce patty, American cheese, bacon, caramelized onion rings, lettuce and tomatoes.

Steve’s currently operates three locations: two in Garfield and one in North Bergen.

The burger chain has grown popular on the New Jersey food scene for its variety of specialty burgers, patty melts, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks and milkshakes.

The eatery’s “Willy Burger” landed at No. 12 on NJ.com’s recent ranking of New Jersey’s 33 greatest burgers.
