One of New Jersey’s quirkiest bagel shops will unveil another location.

Freehold-based eatery The Bagel Nook is opening a second Freehold store at 4345 Route 9 in early October, according to owner Alex Berkowitz.

An exact opening date has yet to be determined.

“We’re opening right around the time that we will release all of our specialty items for Fall and Halloween,” Berkowitz said. “We have about four new overloads that will be released over the next couple of weeks.”

The Bagel Nook has grown popular for its eccentric combinations of cereals, chips, cookies and other snacks blended into its bagel dough, cream cheeses and other spreads.

Some of the bagel shop’s most unique creations include “Oreo Overload,” “Fruity Pebble Overload,” “Flaming Hot Cheetos Overload” and “Cannoli Donut Overload”.

Birthday cake, Oreo, cookie dough, chocolate chip M&M, salted caramel chocolate chip and bacon cheddar headline the eatery’s catalog of cream cheeses.

The full list of creative breakfast concoctions includes more quirky bagels, funky cream cheese combinations, breakfast platters, omelettes, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches, wraps and more.

“We’re doing our first giant pumpkin bagel,” Berkowitz said. “This year we’re doing a 20-inch party pumpkin bagel. Pictures don’t even do this bagel any justice. It’s huge.”

The Bagel Nook claimed the No. 16 spot on NJ.com’s latest ranking of New Jersey’s 44 greatest bagel shops.

This will be the company’s fourth location. The others are located in Freehold (51 Village Center Dr.), Princeton and Las Vegas, Nevada.

The company originally opened in Freehold in 2015.

The Bagel Nook also sells products online at Goldbelly, where they can be shipped nationwide.
