Grant in Washington Township named after former foundation treasurer

WASHINGTON TWP. —  Members of the Washington Township Education Foundation have voted unanimously to name the organization's largest single annual donation in honor of Larry Glestein, a former WTEF Treasurer who also served on the District's Board of Education.

The "Larry Glestein Educational Enhancement Grant" in the amount of $10,000 will be presented annually at the elementary, middle and high school level on a rotating basis to fund programs and activities in direct benefit to students.

"The WTEF is truly honored to attach Larry's name to this annual award of $10,000 to our schools," WTEF President Charlie Doud said.  "Larry has been instrumental with not only forming the Education Foundation, but he has also devoted countless hours of his time making sure as much money as possible is steered toward the children of our District.  He personifies the true definition of 'public servant.'  It is fitting that a grant of this size bears the name of such a generous individual who has worked tirelessly create opportunities for our kids."
