Pedestrian struck by motorist pulling out of driveway dies from her injuries

GLOUCESTER TWP. — A pedestrian struck by a motorist who was backing out of a  driveway has died, police said.

Noreen Covert, 67, of Sip Bottom died in Cooper University Hospital.

She had been walking along Greens Way in the township's Timber Birch area about 11:15 a.m. Friday when she was stuck by a motorist backing out of their driveway.

The name of the motorist was not released by police. A statement from police said "no charges are expected to be filed in this case."
