Rutgers University in Camden to host symposium on healthcare reform

CAMDEN —  A symposium that will explore healthcare reform on a local and national level will be held at the Rutgers–Camden Campus from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 24.

“Healthcare Reform in the 21st Century:  Implementation and Constitutionality” is sponsored by the Rutgers School of Law–Camden’s Health Law Society and the Camden County Bar Association.

Jeffrey Brenner, a leader on healthcare delivery reform in the Camden community, will present the symposium’s keynote speech, “Building Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations in New Jersey.”  His presentation will focus on a new approach to healthcare access for populations with large medical expenditures who currently receive either poor medical care or no care at all.

Brenner is the founder and executive director of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers.  A family physician, he has practiced in Camden for 11 years as a primary care provider for patients of all ages.
