Woman injured when car hits tree in Gloucester Township

GLOUCESTER TWP.

— A 28-year-old woman was injured when her car went off the road and hit a tree Tuesday morning.

The driver, whose name was withheld by police pending notification of her family, was trapped inside her 1999 Oldsmobile after it went off Sicklerville Road into the tree at about 2:51 a.m., police said.

The woman was trapped inside the car. After being freed, she was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with unspecified injuries.

Police said charges are pending completion of their investigation.

Assisting at the crash scene were Lambs Terrace Fire Department, Erial Fire Department, Pine Hill Fire Department, Gloucester Township E.M.S., and Virtua Hospital Paramedics.
