Berlin man accused of killing driver in crash, then urinating in street in Winslow

CAMDEN — A Berlin man was arraigned Thursday on charges that he plowed his SUV into a minivan in August 2010, killing the driver, then got out and urinated in the street following the crash.

Robert Zaremba, 38, was charged with vehicular homicide for the death of Tricia Broomall, 41, of Deptford at about 6:30 p.m. Aug, 31 at Ruote 73 and Myers Avenue in Winslow Township.

Zaremba allegedly drove a Ford Explorer through a red light atn Route 73 and slammed into Broomall’s Voyager minivan, authorities said.

According to witness statements, a number of motorists blew their horns trying to alert Zaremba to the red light, but that he allegedly made no attempt to brake as he neared and then drove into the intersection. Witnesses reported Zaremba got out of his Explorer and urinated in the street following the crash.

Tests on Zaremba’s blood allegedly showed the presence of methamphetamines, amphetamines and Alprazolam, prosecutors said.
