Dodge Durango taken during Gloucester Township home invasion

GLOUCESTER TWP. — Four, maybe five, men wearing ski masks to conceal their identities held up and robbed a township family of cash and jewelry at gunpoint early Sunday, police said.

The home invasion, about 12:05 a.m., occurred on Gray Pebble Circle in the Cobblestone development.

A father reported he had just arrived home to find his family being held hostage. One suspect was holding a family member at gunpoint, police said.

The family, except the father, were tied up. The father was ordered to turn over money and jewelry.

The suspects all wore dark clothing and gloves.

Police were en route about the time the father was arriving home - responding to a residential alarm.

During robbery the victim's vehicle, a 2000 black Dodge Durango with New Jersey license plate JPC61V was taken and h as not been recovered.

A search of the immediate area by police after they were contacted proved negative for locating the suspects, police said.
