Gloucester Township police: 3 juveniles break into business, steal forklifts and computers

GLOUCESTER TWP. - Three township juveniles are accused of breaking in to an Austin Avenue business and driving forklifts through a gated area, police said Sunday.

The suspects, whose ages and names were not released, drove the forklifts several blocks before being caught by police.

The youth are each charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

Police were summoned to 8th Avenue in the Glendora section about 8 a.m. Saturday. Police noticed two forklifts were stuck in the rear yard of a residence.

In addition, a Dodge pickup truck with "fresh" collision damage was parked on 8th Avenue.

The youth are accused of breaking into the business and stealing several computers from inside along with keys to several vehicles. A Volvo tractor-trailer was moved across the lot, police said.

A gate at the business was destroyed, apparently when the suspects drove the forklifts through it.

Police said "numerous articles" stolen from the business were recovered. The forklifts found at the residence on 8th Avenue were towed back to the business.
