Attilo Daversa, 68, of Fifth Street is charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

A joint investigation between the Camden County Prosecutors Office’s Child Abuse Unit and the Pine Hill Police Department uncovered that Daversa had sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl over an eight-month period, a spokesman for Faulk said.  These assaults occurred approximately seven years ago and the victim is currently 16-years-old.

Attilo Daversa was paroled in February after serving three years of a five year sentence for sexual assault of a child.  Daversa's bail was set at $200,000 cash. He remained Tuesday in the Camden County Jail.
