I-295 ramps to be closed in Bellmawr for paving work

BELLMAWR — A series of entrance and exit ramp closures will occur at the Interstate 295 interchange with the Black Horse Pike here next week to accommodate milling and final surface course paving operations on the southbound mainline highway, the state Department of Transportation has announced.
 
The following ramps will be closed through the duration of, or partly through, 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday:

•  I-295 southbound Exit 28 off-ramp to Route 168 (both directions) — Motorists destined for Exit 28 during the ramp closures will be directed to I-76 northbound to the Market Street exit to U-turn back onto I-76 southbound to I-295 northbound to Exit 28 for Route 168.

• Route 168 southbound on-ramp to I-295 southbound — Motorists destined for I-295 southbound will be directed to I-295 northbound to Exit 32 for I-295 southbound.

• Route 168 northbound on-ramp to I-295 southbound —  Motorists destined for I-295 southbound will be directed to Kings Highway to Market Street to I-76 southbound to I-295 southbound.

NJDOT is rehabilitating an eight-mile stretch of I-295 in both directions between Route 45 in West Deptford Township and Haddonfield-Berlin Road in Cherry Hill Township.  Construction began on the federally-funded project  is scheduled for completion in spring 2012.
