Tournament tweaks

With county and conference tournaments now behind us and the state tournament kicking into gear, the Top 20 gets another shakeup. Take a look at this week's tweaks and find out which new team cracked the list by scrolling through this slideshow. Remember, the ranking is based on games played through Feb. 28.

20-Gill St. Bernard's (10-15)

Last Week: No. 19
Gill St. Bernard's struggled to a 62-35 loss against No. 1 Rutgers Prep in the Somerset County Final, but the Knights were without one of their key pieces in Nisani Santiago during that game.

19-Lenape (23-3)

Last Week: N/R
Lenape, which had a 66-53 upset win over Gloucester Catholic last week, added a regular season win over Hunterdon Central and a 67-54 triumph over Brick Memorial in the first round of the South Jersey, Group 4 state tournament this week.

18-Rancocas Valley (21-5)

After closing out the regular season with a 48-42 win over Timber Creek, Rancocas Valley beat Atlantic Tech, 75-42, in the first round of the South Jersey, Group 4 state tournament.

Pascack Valley has now won nine in a row after beating Indian Hills, 72-57, to close out the regular season and starting off the North 1, Group 3 tournament with an 88-35 win over Tenafly.

16-Sayreville (25-2)

Last Week: No. 16
Sayreville won a thrilling back-and-forth affair with South Brunswick in the Greater Middlesex Tournament final, ultimately pulling out a 59-52 win at Rutgers University. The Bombers beat Hightstown, 55-29, for a first-round win the Central Jersey, Group 4 state tournament.

15-Ocean City (26-1)

Last Week: 15
Ocean topped Middle Township for a 37-35 win in the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament title before beating Pinelands, 49-19, in the first round of the South Jersey, Group 3 state tournament.

Last Week: No. 12
After falling 59-53 to No. 14 Lodi Immaculate, Franklin bounced back with a 70-52 victory over 15th-seeded Lincoln in the North 2, Group 4 first round.

Lodi Immaculate bounced back from its loss in the Bergen County Tournament final by beating No. 12 Franklin, 59-53, this past week.

St. Rose solidified itself as the No. 2 team in the state with an impressive 56-31 win over St. John Vianney in the Shore Conference Tournament final on Saturday. It was St. Rose's first SCT title since 2012 and first under coach Joe Whalen.
