The New York Mets have completed another trade leading into July 30′s trade deadline.

After bolstering the bullpen with the acquisition of Phil Maton on July 9, the Mets made a minor move Tuesday, trading minor-league infielder Rylan Bannon to the Minnesota Twins, according to the MiLB transaction log.

It is unclear what the Mets got in return, though MLB Trade Rumors speculated it could be cash and that Bannon could’ve had an out-clause in his contract that forced a trade. He has been assigned to the Twins’ Triple-A affiliate.

Bannon was excelling in Triple-A, batting .254/.392/.475 with 15 home runs and 57 RBIs.

The 28-year-old has largely been a journeyman Triple-A player, reaching the level in 2019 and jumping around to play with in the minor leagues of the Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros and Mets. Bannon has reached the majors for three games with three teams, recording two hits in 21 plate appearances.
