The ruckus at the Shore on Memorial Day Weekend resulted in more consternation from law enforcement and local mayors, who felt overwhelmed by the crush of unruly teens who clogged the boardwalk and behaved like, well, unruly teens.
Some assert the incidents in Wildwood and Ocean City are a result of lax marijuana enforcement laws, which they say restrict the police’s ability to engage with minors and prevent crime inside Jersey’s summer vortex – a canard repeated annually since possession was decriminalized for juveniles.
