Homes in N.J. jumped another 7% last year after big gains over past 4 years

Homes prices in New Jersey were supposed to decline last year. But, if you or anyone you know has shopped for a home, that definitely did not happen.

There were bidding wars. First-time buyers were priced out. And some homes went for way over asking price.

Homes prices in New Jersey rose another 7% in 2023, according to the Otteau Group. That follows a 9% increase in 2022, a 16% increase in 2021 and a 12% increase in 2020.
