A man found dead near Franklinton had been shot multiple times, according to the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office.
The man's body was found Friday behind his home in the 1200 block of South Choctaw Road, and authorities are now searching for Clois Clifton Blackledge III, who they say is a person of interest in the case.
Blackledge was last seen riding a black and silver Honda motorcycle that may have recently been repainted white, authorities said.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

The fatal shooting follows a fatal double shooting Wednesday in the community of Mount Hermon, in which the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office said a 23-year-old man admitted to investigators that he shot his grandparents to death.
