Access to Tonto National Monument is as follows:

Open 8 am-5 pm:

• Visitor Center and Museum
• Park Store
• Picnic Area

Hours Vary:

• Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail and Cactus Patch Trail.
  • June-August: Visitors must begin their hike before 12 noon. Trail may close due to excessive heat, lightning, bee activity, or flooding.
  • September-May: Visitors must begin their hike before 4 pm. Trail may close due to excessive heat, lightning, bee activity, or flooding.
• Upper Cliff Dwelling Trail available only with a guided tour November-April. For more information, visit the Guided Tours page.
