TNIAAM Reacts: Your choices for Syracuse athletes of the year

The Syracuse Orange athletic year has come to a close and we asked the fans who they would select as female and male athlete of the year.

It was no surprise that Dyaisha Fair ran away on the women’s side. The NCAA’s 3rd all-time leading scorer capped an amazing career for the Orange and her accomplishments over-shadowed a lot of outstanding athletes.

It was a bit closer on the men’s side, but the fans went with Marlowe Wax. The leader of the Orange defense was a menace in the win at Purdue and a key player in getting Syracuse to a bowl game. Wax is also the only one of our four options to be returning next year.

Not sure if these results are an indicator of location from the responders or what, but it seemed low based on fan excitement of the Fran Brown hire. I think this is something we’d like to know more about this summer.
