Yoan Moncada knows exactly where the cream filling is.

The White Sox rookie is not shy about sharing his love of Twinkies. His agent told ESPN he sometimes gobbles down mass quantities of the snack, including 85 in a week.

If you average that out, it comes down to about 12 Twinkies every day.

Moncada’s ideal snack is a bit surprising, especially when the ESPN story describes him as “a versatile defender with natural speed and a sculpted upper body.”

The prospects love for Twinkies isn’t exactly new.

Yahoo! Sports reported in September that the quantity of Twinkies eaten by Moncada may have been even greater than 85 in a week.

According to the report, when it came to Twinkies Moncada “wolfed them down like a snake eating its prey whole.” People close to Moncada said he once ate 225 in one week.

Reading this is likely to make White Sox fans a little concerned about the promising infielder. However, it appears his days of eating the small cake snacks are over.

Moncada told CSN Chicago reporter Dan Hayes that he no longer eats Twinkies anymore.

The prospect will now turn his focus towards making the big league roster. Moncada was a part of the trade that sent Chris Sale from Chicago to the Red Sox this past December. Although he’s expected to start the season in Triple-A, he’s considered to be one of the best up-and-comers in baseball.
