SPFL clubs have voted to approve the implementation of VAR in the Scottish Premiership later this year.
All 42 clubs in the professional leagues met today to decide whether they would follow other countries in adopting the technology.
To pass, the vote required approval from 75 per cent of Premiership clubs, 75 per cent of Championship clubs, and 75 per cent of League One and Two clubs.
It is understood that only one club voted against the proposal and it is now set to be introduced in the second half of next season when the top flight resumes in December after the World Cup.
Managers have repeatedly called for VAR to be introduced in light of controversial refereeing decisions and the technology will come at a cost of around £1.2 million per season to be installed at all twelve grounds.
