Chargers receiver Mike Williams has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Williams left last Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs after a re-aggravation of his high ankle sprain.
  • Chargers coach Brandon Staley said Monday that the team did not consider it “a significant re-injury.”
  • Williams hasn’t practiced since the injury.

Backstory

Williams returned to the lineup Sunday after missing two games with an ankle injury. He, however, left the game after making a 15-yard reception grab against the Chiefs in the first quarter.
