Nottingham Forest are considering an audacious move for Paris Saint-Germain keeper Kaylor Navas, with Dean Henderson facing a spell on the sidelines through injury.

Navas, the Costa Rica international and former Real Madrid stopper, has fallen down the pecking order in Paris and is open to a move, in search of regular first-team football.

And Forest have included the 36-year-old three-time Champions League winner on their list of options.

Premier League rivals — and this weekend’s opponents — Bournemouth had also been linked with a move for Navas, as had Al-Nassr, a move that would see Navas reunited with former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

But Forest are also believed to be keen on the 110-cap international, with on-loan Manchester United man Henderson having suffered a thigh strain in the win over Leicester City last weekend. Henderson is likely to be ruled out until late February.

Wales international Wayne Hennessey is available as back-up but Forest are exploring several options, with Navas — who has lost his place to Gianluigi Donnarumma — among them.

Navas is under contract in Paris until 2024, which could be a factor in any potential move.
