Bournemouth have agreed an initial deal worth €23million (£20.3m) plus add-ons for Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson.
The Athletic reported yesterday that Bournemouth were hopeful of beating south coast rivals Southampton to Jackson’s signature and negotiations have since accelerated as Bournemouth have agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old.

Southampton had a bid below the €20m asking price rejected last week after previous progress in working towards an agreement.
Jackson is flying to England on Tuesday ahead of the deal being finalised and is set to be the second Bournemouth signing of the Bill Foley era.
Jackson has been a regular fixture in the Villarreal side this season, registering two goals and two assists across 14 La Liga matches.
The forward was also a member of Aliou Cisse’s Senegal squad at the 2022 World Cup, making his debut for his country during the tournament.
But he has struggled for game time since Quique Setien has replaced Unai Emery, which is why a deal is now possible.
