Regardless of which quarterback starts for the Bills in the season opener, rookie Josh Allen is showing the resilience and moxie that will have him in the starting role at some point — if not sooner than later — and that has Buffalo fans excited.

The latest example came in last week’s preseason victory over the Cleveland Browns, in which he entered the game at the 11:47 mark of the second quarter and immediately injected life into the sputtering offense. The capper was a 15-play scoring drive that spanned 7:52 and concluded with him showing off his playmaking ability to find Rod Streater in the back of the end zone.
