GREEN BAY, Wis. — When the Green Bay Packers released veteran wide receiver Jordy Nelson, no one had a clearer path to increased playing time than Geronimo Allison.
Allison, who made the team as an undrafted free agent in 2016, had served as the No. 4 receiver each of the last two seasons. And while he always played a supporting role in certain offensive packages, the bulk of his playing time was pegged to the overall health of the receivers. When someone got hurt, Allison was always the first man off the bench.

This year, though, Allison’s playing time figures to be much more steady as he entrenches himself behind veterans Davante Adams and Randall Cobb. He should be a significant contributor for the Packers and will likely eclipse his 23 catches for 253 yards of last season.
I sat down with Allison for an interview on Monday’s episode of the P:60 Packers Podcast to discuss his development as a receiver and his outlook for the 2018 season. Tune in for an insightful conversation.
