Deion Sanders and Colorado have their quarterback for the Class of 2025. Antwann Hill, a four-star prospect from Warner Robins, Ga., committed to the Buffaloes on Friday afternoon. Here is what you need to know:
- Hill is ranked No. 66 overall and the No. 16 QB in the class in the 247Sports Composite.
- He also had reported offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Florida State and Notre Dame among many others.
- He is the third member of Colorado’s 2025 class, joining four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins and three-star running back Jamarice Wilder — both from Florida.
What is the significance for CU?
Colorado has been much better and far more entertaining to watch this year, so you’d think Sanders’ 2024 class would be exploding. Proof of concept is a big deal. But Colorado has only nine commitments in the 2024 cycle, and only one is ranked in the top 100 in the 247Sports Composite. While we’re still waiting to see if Colorado will have a big-time flip or two at the end of the year, it seems pretty reasonable to assume the Buffaloes aren’t going to have a top-15 class.

For 2025, though? It could be possible, and landing a player like Hill — an elite-level quarterback prospect with offers from big-time programs — could be the foundation Sanders needs. Colorado’s 2025 class now has three commitments, and two are in the top 100. We know Sanders will continue to hit the transfer portal, but it’s also important that he adds some quality talent from the high school ranks. — Wasserman
