A fire at Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s home in Southwest Ranches (Fla.) has been extinguished and was limited to one room in the house, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed Wednesday.

All of Hill’s family members and pets are accounted for and were uninjured in the fire. Hill was at practice when the fire broke out and when informed of the incident, left the team in Miami Gardens to attend to the situation.

“We’re very grateful to the firefighters that put the fire out. Thankfully, the fire was contained to a limited area of the home.” Rosenhaus said. The agent went on to say that while this was a difficult situation, Hill and his family were handling it well and were appreciative of the firefighters who saved his home.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but there will be an investigation, fire marshal Bob Taylor of the Davie Fire Rescue Department confirmed.

Video shot captured by Miami news station WSVN-Channel 7 showed smoke billowing from the roof of the home.

Davie Fire Rescue responded to the incident, which was upgraded to a two-alarm fire, with more crews arriving at the scene.

The home was purchased in 2022 for $6.9 million, according to reports.

Hill has been one of the most prolific receivers in the NFL this season, posting 112 catches for 1,717 yards and 12 touchdowns through 15 games.

The Dolphins close out the regular season Sunday evening when they host the Buffalo Bills.
