Granada sign Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri on loan transfer

Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri has joined La Liga side Granada on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

The Spanish club will not hold an option to make the loan move permanent for Pellistri, 22, and they will cover the winger’s wages in full, with United receiving a fee for the deal.

Pellistri has made 14 appearances for United this season, but the defeat to Crystal Palace in September was his only Premier League start this campaign.

The Uruguayan international has previously had two stints in La Liga with Alaves, for whom he made 35 appearances across the 2020-21 and 2021-22 campaigns.

Pellistri joined United from Uruguayan club Penarol in 2020 and has played in 24 first-team games.

Granada are 19th in La Liga, with just two wins and 11 points from their 22 league matches this campaign.

Earlier this month, United’s Alvaro Fernandez had his loan deal at Granada cut short as he made the loan switch to Portuguese club Benfica.
