SEC media days are on the horizon, preseason camp preparation is underway, and we’re only seven Saturdays away from Alabama’s first regular-season game against Western Kentucky.
It’s a transformative time at Alabama, and this season might be the most intriguing of the modern era. There’s a new coaching staff, an expanded College Football Playoff and a growing conversation regarding the SEC’s power dynamic with Texas and Oklahoma’s arrival.

Alabama isn’t the preseason favorite in the SEC for the second year in a row, but expectations remain high as the Tide project as a top-eight preseason team. And before long, it will be basketball season, and the program has arguably the highest preseason expectations in program history.
