Evan Grothjan

Evan Grothjan has filmed virtual reality projects for The New York Times on five continents, from the skies of Rio de Janeiro to the ice of Antarctica. As part of a team of Times journalists, he was recognized as a 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist for work surrounding the Paris terror attacks. When not shooting and editing video, he works on graphics that have been recognized by Malofiej, the Society for News Design, and Pictures of the Year International, among others.

Before coming to The Times, Evan was a freelance cameraman, working on a range of projects including documenting the Arab-Israeli stalemate.
